Black Belts – These people are spearheading the adaptation of Six Sigma guidelines into actual practice in the organization. As a group they are the arms management. They make sure that things are done the way they should be, at the proper time and place and by the right people.

Green Belts and Yellow Belts – These are the members of the Six Sigma hierarchy who are especially trained by the Black Belts to show appropriate examples to their co-workers and provide supervisory support to the Black Belts.
