Six Sigma Courses

Six sigma courses are mainly all about eliminating flaws and bringing improvements and profit to a project. All the courses under six sigma teach DMAIC that is the core principles of six sigma. DMAIC include tools to Define, Measure, Analyze, Improve and Control any project under six sigma supervision. Understanding the principles of DMAIC is very important in order to apply six sigma methodologies in to an organization and to gain profit. These courses involve training in various levels of expertise. They teach how to kick start each six sigma project, how each training level or belts work, and how to prioritize projects in an organization.

Each training level or six sigma belt is different from the next one. The basic rule is to remove any defects or inconvenience in the product for customer satisfaction and in general to smoothen the whole process. These priorities have been divided in each belt training.

Black belt and master black belt training includes much higher responsibilities than other belts as black belts and master black belts are involved with the actual running of a six sigma project. Therefore a black belt course will revolve around the entire core principles which include the six sigma culture and special language. Their course also consists of project leadership, application of the six sigma tools, and improving the quality of products by introducing new ideas.

The green belts are trained to support the black belts in data collection and analysis. The green belt course does not include project management as this is a black belt job. Green belts just have to be trained enough to support black belts in improving the quality of the product and also to ensure the proper and practical application of the six sigma principles of DMAIC.

The basic level or the yellow belt course does not involve any brainstorming or practical application of knowledge. They are just trained in the six sigma methodologies, and they have the knowledge of these methodologies, but they do not need to be trained in project management or anything about leadership at all. Although black belt is considered the most important job of all the six sigma belts, yellow and green belt training is the most significant one for any company. They can be said to be the binding factor of six sigma in an organization.

To go over the main points once again, six sigma training courses consist of an in depth understanding in the DMAIC principles of six sigma. They are taught the various monetary and qualitative benefits an organization can reap from six sigma. Basically, all the levels go training in similar subjects but the intensity of each level varies. Six sigma courses revolve upon training students in solving any problem through analysis and proper strategies. The fundamental objective of every six sigma course is to train individuals to manage any project successfully, to solve any problem, to improve the quality of a product and to bring modifications to an organization through the six sigma methodologies.
